Lakers Really Want Kevin Garnett

The Los Angeles Lakers must want Kevin Garnett badly. Most news sources are reporting that the Lakers are willing to part with Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum, in exchange for Kevin Garnett. A few news sources are including Kwame Brown in the trade:

“The Wolves might get Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum and Kwame Brown in return for Garnett. That deal would offer the Wolves a mix of salary cap relief, a young center with potential, and Odom, who would give the Wolves a solid player to bridge the present and future.”

Would this move be enough to placate Kobe Bryant? - The Lakers consistently have refused any trade offers involving Andrew Bynum. That was before Kobe insinuated that the Lakers, with their present lineup, were a bunch of losers and he wanted nothing to do with them. It does make it somewhat awkward for Kobe to go back to the NBA battles with this group. It seems that the Lakers are about to offer two of last season’s starters - and perhaps their future center, Bynum - for Kevin Garnett. One would think that, if the Lakers are giving up so much, they should ask for Mark Madsen to be included in the package. The Laker fans would be overwhelmed.
