Do You Have a Chance?
Posted: January 30th, 2007 | Author: Catherine | Filed under: Uncategorized |Here are some categories of where there have been recent data breaches:
-
universities (example: University of Arizona)
U.S. Internal Revenue (example: Kansas City)
where you shop (example: T.J. Maxx)
doctor’s office (example: Somerset, Pa.)
employment agency (example: Santa Clara)
libraries (example: Grand Rapids)
city government office (example: Wickliffe, Ohio)
banks (example: Bank of America)
employers (example: Boeing)
insurance (example: Aetna)
Those are just ten categories, from a quick search of the FlyingHamster postings. There are certainly more categories. However, the point is made. Do you think you have a chance of escaping being on a ‘data breach list’?
