Lost Post Entries

It seems that the server gremlins have claimed over three weeks of postings and the comments. For those who follow this blog space, my apologies - I am afraid that all that work is gone.

    Backup:
    A copy of a file, program, or entire computer system, retained for use in the event that the original is in some way rendered unusable.

    NOTE, used only in the hypothetical sense.

    There were backups, but I was backing up the wrong things by accident. I had stuff shared among three different web hosts because I couldn’t find one to handle everything, and at some point some things got misconfigured.

    I just found the recent posts in my RSS reader. I’ll be able to restore those, just not the comments, as Google Cache hasn’t picked up the site for some reason. I’ve saved tons of things from Google Cache over the years, but today it fails me.
