The New Yahoo CEO Reported to be Carol Bartz

The reported replacement for Yahoo CEO Jerry Yang is Carol Bartz. She is no stranger to the technology sector, as she guided the growth of Autodesk:

“…A former Yahoo executive yesterday told us that inside the company, Bartz is consider an ally to Yahoo president Sue Decker and Yahoo ad sales boss Hilary Schneider — a sign that both top executives may stay with the company under the new boss.”

One criticism will be that she does not have a strong background in advertising. However, Ms Bartz bring considerable management skills to Yahoo and Wall Street will watch for the strategic alliances that will be forthcoming. It is not overstating the case that the future of Yahoo, as a separate entity, may rest with this appointment.
