I Am Never Buying a Hewlett Packard Product

On November 21, a Lockergnome ‘gnomie’ posted an article about service problems with Hewlett Packard. That article was ‘inspired’ by the frustration of receiving service for his laptop.

Now, December 10, this person still does not have his laptop. He does not know what the status of his machine is. He does not know where his machine is. He is calling and talking to people in India. And so it goes. It is just abhorrent customer service. The laptop is needed for university work.

HP has placed this customer in a helpless situation. It is really horrendous that this is continuing.

My conclusion from witnessing this fiasco is ‘I am never buying a Hewlett Packard product’. Never.

That is a great idea! In my lifetime I’ve only had one HP and I hated the service they gave me. There were also problems with the computer itself! I’ve decided that the only computers I’ll ever buy are Dells and Apples

HP is following a disturbing trend. Proprietary hardware / drivers (for their printers at least) and less than stellar support. They seem to be headed in the same direction as Packard Bell.
