Michael Vick: Banned

The NFL banned Michael Vick from training camp on Monday. The Michael Vick problem looms over the forthcoming season for the NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell:

“…”While it is for the criminal justice system to determine your guilt or innocence, it is my responsibility as commissioner of the National Football League to determine whether your conduct, even if not criminal, nonetheless violated league policies, including the Personal Conduct Policy,” Goodell said in a letter to the quarterback.”

It seems that, in the ‘court of public opinion’, many fans now find it objectionable that Michael Vick continues to play. The NFL took steps to distance itself from Mr Vick. Commissioner Goodell realizes the seriousness of this scandal. And Michael Vick is finding out that, to the league’s officials and owners, the product is far, far more important than any of its salesmen.
