Immediate Pet Food Recall (Updated)

There is an immediate recall of Menu Food products for dogs and cats. There are a reported sixty million (60,000,000) containers being recalled. The danger is possible kidney failure and death to the animal. This is coming to my attention late Friday afternoon, March 16, 2007. A news item has stated:

“Menu Foods did not immediately provide a full list of brand names and lot numbers covered by the recall, saying they would be posted on its Web site — www.menufoods.com/recall — early Saturday. Consumers with questions can call (866) 463-6738.”

Please check your pet food and, since this news story is happening at the end of the week’s cycle, it would be a good idea to let your friends and relatives, who are dog and cat owners, know immediately about this recall.
